Pedro Barbosa is a singer-songwriter and full-time music artist with a diverse musical background. His passion for the creative craft of writing and recording new songs with inspirational messages, is enhanced by his strong unique voice and flamboyant yet gentle character.
PEDRO discovered his love for music at an early age, but it was not until the age of twenty that he realized it could become a full-time career. Committed to following his passion, he set out to explore where the road of music would lead. His natural talent is supported by formal training, including a National Diploma in Jazz, Performance and Sound Technology from the Contemporary Music College in Pretoria. He later expanded his expertise by studying Professional Songwriting and Production at the Musicians Institute in Los Angeles.
PEDRO’s musical journey spans several years of performing with bands, culminating in the release of his debut solo album, REBORN, in 2018. He has spent time developing his songwriting offering to corporate entities for teambuilding sessions and corporate commissions. PEDRO has also released a range of singles, including ‘Gave It All Away (2022)’, ‘Breathe Under Water (2023)’ and ‘Es Mi Vida (2023)’. In February 2024, PEDRO BARBOSA released a brand-new single called ‘Runaway’ which was chosen as a finalist in the ‘Vocal Performance’ and ‘Adult Contemporary’ categories in the Unsigned Only Music Competition 2024.
